We serve administrators, faculty, and staff by providing information relative to employment processing (postings, offers, onboarding, etc); background checks; new employee orientation; reinstatement, and credit for prior service.

All Faculty and other Academic appointments not processed through eRecruit should be submitted through the new hire paper process below. Note: Batchload processes are not impacted.

Regular Clinical Instructional, Regular Instructional, Supplemental Instructional, Primary, Emeritus/a, Academic-Administrative Ungraded House Officers, Research Fellows, Clinical Intern/Field Students

Please note: Direct Deposit and tax forms should be sent to the Payroll office.

Additionally, a Regents Communication, AAR, posting, or waiver may be required depending on the position. See SPG 201.22 for more information on hiring staff members. It is not necessary to include Regents Communication paperwork with appointment paperwork.

Per University of Michigan Standard Practice Guide policies, all employees must consent to a criminal background check in order to accept employment. An electronic background check will be requested from an affiliated vendor.
